" A Safe Space for Growth and Healing"

Healing Nest Counseling

How does therapy work?

Psychotherapy works by providing a safe, private space where you can talk with a trained therapist about your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Through open conversation, the therapist assists you in seeing a different perspective, understanding the situation, identifying patterns, learning new coping skills, setting goals, and making positive changes.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours ahead of from the scheduled session to avoid fees. Cancelations can be made by phone or text.

What is the difference between talking to a therapist and talking to a friend?

The main difference between talking to a therapist and a friend is the training and purpose of the relationship. A therapist is a trained professional who listens without judgement, helps you explore deeper issues, and uses evidence-based tools to support your mental health and personal growth. The focused is entirely on you, and the space is private and structured. A friend cares about you and can offer support, but may give advice based on their own experiences, and might not always be neutral. Therapy offers a safe, skilled, and focused space to work through challenges in a way that's different from personal relationships.
