Treatment Methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Helps individuals identify thoughts and behaviors that are not serving them well. By recognizing negative thinking patterns and behaviors, individuals can find ways to change their emotions by changing their thoughts and/or their behaviors.
Person-Centered
Person-centered therapy operates on the humanistic belief that the individual is inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization; it relies on this force for therapeutic change. The role of the therapist is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Is a counseling method that helps individuals resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is an evidence-based treatment that allows individuals to identify their reasons for change based on their own values and interests.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes client's strengths and resources to create a positive change, focusing on present and future goals rather than past problems. It's brief, goal-oriented, and emphasizes solutions rather than delving into underlying issues.
My Approach
Therapy is a journey that unfolds over time, and taking the first step toward improved well-being is a commendable achievement. I am committed to alleviating human suffering and guiding clients toward living fulfilling lives. In our work together, I will support you as you set goals and develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors. I have successfully aided individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and age backgrounds, empowering them to realize their potential. My comprehensive approach recognizes that culture, family dynamics, and current circumstances all play a significant role in one’s life.
In our first session, we will assess your unique needs and establish clear expectations for therapy. I will inquire about your goals, and together we will design a treatment plan that honors your pace and priorities. My focus is to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. Our sessions will involve collaborative dialogue, skill development, and deeper insights into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs, integrating holistic, spiritual, and integrative perspectives. I am well-equipped to support clients facing a wide range of issues, including parenting challenges, postpartum adjustments, coping skills development, life transitions, immigrant concerns, self-esteem issues, experiences of racism, grief, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
